The most widespread problem is with insufficient or excessive turbine thrust caused by loss of tightness of the vacuum system. The problems with the performance of the electrovacuum valve are indicated by the transfer of the engine to emergency mode with an artificial limitation of maximum thrust.
Hi new to the group im hoping someone could help. My cars temperature seems to stay around the 85-90c mark most of the time but every so often will raise rapidly to 120c, after stopping for no more than 2 mins to allow to cool down it will return again to 85- 90c and hold there fine It seems to h

Poor electrical connection. Leak in the vacuum line to EGR valve. Faulty turbo or supercharger. P0299 Faults include. Low oil pressure in the engine. Fault in the EGR system. Air or intake leak or restriction. Faulty boost pressure sensor. so my first port of call would be the EGR valve and it ancillaries.
at 20c the sensor should be around 12-14kohms but 30 kohms is not far off really, compared to 215c !! check the wiring pins. 215c indicates either open circuit or short circiut i guess .check if you have a reference voltage? probably 5v .
I'm a bit surprised that this problem came this early, but it appears that the people at Ford is taking this seriously. Having been through Mondeo Mk.1 1.8I - Mk.2 2.0i - Mk3 2.0i - Mk.4 2.0i - Mk.4.5 2.0 Ecoboost PWS - Mk4.5 2.0TDCi PWS and now the Mk5 TDCI PWS, this is my first serious problem, so I will just wait for Ford to sort things out.
